Stockholm-based start-up Acast loves you to listen. There are millions of podcasts, but how do you find them, organise them, and how do you discover new gems that you might have missed otherwise? The Acast App, available for Apple, Android, and Windows 10, is the answer. Like ADvendio it is an end-to-end product – Acast is a curated platform for podcasts. They connect listeners, podcast creators, and advertisers in a fully integrated, one-stop shop.

Now they have partnered with ADvendio, to deliver advertising via their application. They are hosting ads on their platform from McDonald’s, Sony, Universal, and IKEA, among many others. The Acast app is cutting-edge, offering true metrics for groundbreaking ad formats, such as fully integrated, dynamic ads during a podcast, the first platform to do so. They were also the first to introduce programmatic ad buys within podcasts. “It can target dynamic advertising based on location, time and any personal data we have, on any listening device,” says Måns Ulvestam, the founder and CEO.

They launched Acast+ in May 2016. This is a premium, ad-free paywall strategy that will allow creators on its platform to sell content directly to their audience without advertising. Podcasters can set their own prices using the product so content producers can monetize their material through advertising, or they can directly monetize through payment from audiences.
