We’ve had a very productive first quarter at ADvendio, with 2022 in full swing. We’ve had a busy start to the year, from visiting conferences to hosting webinars and a partner summit, as well as ongoing product updates, new hiring, and company-wide meetings.

Industry Events

This quarter, we were thrilled to attend and organize a number of events in the advertising technology sector.

The Publishing Show

At the beginning of this month, our sales representatives Robert, Angus and Hristina attended The Publishing Show, UK’s largest event for B2B and B2C publishers and media professionals. This world-class event, which took place at London ExCel, provided the ideal opportunity for our UK team to resume in-person interaction with leading companies in the publishing space.

Partner Summit 2022

On March 3rd, we held our first partner summit of the year. Hosted by Robert Varga, Head of Sales EMEA & Partnerships and Samantha Giaver, Head of Sales USA, this event provided an introduction to ADvendio, highlighting the foundations and benefits of our partnership, as well as a technical and strategic outlook for 2022 presented by ADvendio’s COO, Ralf Kordsmeier.

In addition, Hannah Byrne, Commercial Manager at Trigg Digital, explained how partnering with ADvendio can successfully enhance your business by sharing Trigg Digital’s positive experience as an ADvendio partner.

Retail Industry Webinar

We wrapped up the first quarter of the year with a webinar specifically designed for retail companies. This webinar, co-hosted by ADvendio team members Samantha Giaver and Samantha Westphal, discussed current retail media trends and challenges, as well as how ADvendio’s solution for omnichannel advertising revenue growth is benefiting our retail customers.

Staff Events

We are proud to have started this 2022 with multiple team-building activities across our international departments.

Global Team Meeting

As we dive into 2022, we held our quarterly global team meeting with all of our offices and colleagues in the US, Chile, Germany, Ireland, and the UK.

This meeting touched upon key updates and goals from all our departments along with presenting long term plans for ADvendio’s strategic roadmap.

Sales Kickoff Workshop

Our sales team kicked off the year with a team workshop in Aruba. The trip was designed to enable the sales team to set group goals together in one location while allowing the team to once again meet face-to-face after the pandemic had kept them apart for so long.

Worldwide Team Bonding

To celebrate Employee Appreciation Day, ADvendio’s HR department hosted an exciting virtual escape room game to encourage team members to connect with colleagues from other departments based in different countries and improve collaboration while working remotely.

New Hires

We are thrilled to share the continued expansion of our international team as we focus on meeting growing market demands.

Incoming COO

ADvendio is delighted to announce Ralf Kordsmeier’s appointment as chief operating officer. Formerly COO of Sinnerschrader Commerce (part of Accenture), Kordsmeier was in charge of the German and Czech Republic divisions’ business operations.

In his new role, Ralf will be responsible for ADvendio’s overall operations and will work closely with CEO Bernd Bube to implement the company’s strategic roadmap and vision as his experience aligns with ADvendio’s ambitions of expanding operations worldwide.

Globally Growing Team

We are pleased to welcome new team members at ADvendio Germany, Ireland and Chile. Liga Bandere joins our Hamburg office as a Product Manager while Semir Alwash will strengthen our TAM Team in Dublin as a Partner Success Manager. In addition, our latest hires in Chile include Kaushik Saha, Quality Assurance Lead; Erica Winter, Sales Operations Executive and Katie Sawyer as our new Customer Success Specialist.

New Product Enhancements

Below is a breakdown of some of the new features and improvements based on client feedback that our team made available to clients in the first quarter of this year. To ensure that our advertising management software is future-proofed to satisfy the industry’s ever-changing demands.

Campaign Builder

In this improved version of our previous Media Configuration Tool, we have added support for a variety of targeting capabilities including Geo, Device, Inventory, Connection, and more. As well as offering users the ability to:

  • Have access to more tab rules including hiding or changing fields to “read only’” based on certain rules you define
  • Collect and save content, such as image files to be used as campaign creative, which can be stored and accessed within the Campaign Builder

Creative Upload

With the release of our new Creative Upload process, we’ve developed additional enhancements to the user interface and user experience. Fields can now be sorted in a variety of ways, and accessibility tools have been added for greater control. This enables users to make fields visible/hidden and make certain activities permission-based, or dependent on a user’s role type.

Campaign Contact Wizard

The campaign Contact Wizard assists users in swiftly selecting the relevant contacts for their campaigns. This feature displays only the contacts associated with the involved accounts to the user. The selected contacts are displayed in the linked list of Campaign Contacts for each corresponding media campaign. This feature is now available in Lightning Experience with enhanced UI & performance. Many of our other features and functionalities will be added to the Lightning experience in the coming months. Exclusive Inventory Reservation

We made a significant improvement for customers who manage their inventory availability in ADvendio. You can now reserve inventory solely for specific advertisers or agencies, preventing other clients from booking. Once sold, exclusively booked inventory will be marked as reserved and will not display in the availability check. This gives sales representatives and buyers confidence that inventory records are up to date and readily available during the sales process. This prevents double bookings and is available as a simple bundled solution for ADvendio users.

Latest integration developments

  • Xandr
    Xandr native creative support as well as support for Xandr’s new booking format “Guaranteed Delivery Augmented Line Item” (GDALI) booking has been made available. ADvendio fully supports this new booking type within our system for a more intuitive workflow and user experience. We’ve also improved our Buying Delivery Reports by adding the ability to integrate Xandr Invest data back into ADvendio. Both Lifetime and Monthly reports have been made available.
  • Google Ad Manager
    We are happy to announce we have implemented a number of Google custom metadata targeting enhancements. The improvements support Video & CTV booking with additional access to targeting information based on criteria specific to specific video content. For video bookings, you can now also connect a content management system (CMS) system to automatically track GAM custom metadata targeting.
  • Google Display & Video 360
    We have enhanced the configuration of ‘goals’ when creating campaigns and orders, allowing you to more flexibly determine the KPIs that are most relevant for your Programmatic Media Buying activities. Whether you are planning to reach a certain CPC or looking for a certain viewability rate, this can now be configured as part of the ADvendio Google DV360 integration.
