Lauren Herrig has joined the ADvendio team as an Account Executive focused on the West Coast region. We are delighted to welcome Lauren to the team. Lauren has a passion for sales and customer service, and has held various sales roles across marketing merchandising, nonprofit, higher education, and tech. These experiences will be a huge asset to ADvendio, and we look forward to leveraging her expertise to further ADvendio’s expansion.
We caught up with Lauren to learn more about her background, experience, and what she looks forward to in her new role.
1. Tell us about your background.
I grew up in Iowa, where I spent much of my time playing sports and enjoying the outdoors. That ultimately led me to compete in collegiate soccer at Illinois State University, where I earned degrees in Marketing and Management with concentrations in Professional Sales and Small Business Entrepreneurship.
Over the past few years, I’ve been based in San Francisco, working in the tech space at Adobe in a business development role. At Adobe, I supported the Adobe Experience Platform, which helps centralize audience management, customer insights, engagement, and experimentation across a broad portfolio of applications, including analytics tools and marketing automation platforms.
I have always had a passion for sales and customer service, and I’ve held various sales roles across marketing merchandising, nonprofit, higher education, and tech. I am grateful to have joined ADvendio during a pivotal time in its growth. As we expand in the U.S. market, I look forward to deepening my understanding of the media industry and contributing to our success in the adtech space.
2. What’s your job title and the regions you’re focused on?
I’m an Account Executive reporting to the Head of Sales, Angus Dowie. I’ll be primarily responsible for the US market, with a focus on the West Coast region.
3. What led you to a career in sales, and what do you enjoy most about working in sales?
I have gained experience in a variety of sales roles, ranging from the marketing merchandise field and the non-profit sector to the tech industry. Throughout my career, one principle has remained constant: sales is fundamentally about people. I am passionate about connecting with others, understanding their unique challenges, and providing solutions that make a meaningful impact in their daily lives. I take pride in building strong relationships and delivering results to my customers through thoughtful and engaging interactions. Joining Advendio is an exciting opportunity to continue doing what I love alongside an exceptional team.
4. How has your previous experience prepared you for your role with ADvendio?
I’ve been fortunate to gain experience at Adobe within their business development organization, where I supported over 200 enterprise-level clients across a range of industries, including retail, media and entertainment, and high-tech. Our primary focus was to deliver solutions that helped organizations create personalized, scalable customer experiences through marketing automation, content management, analytics, and customer data platforms on Adobe’s Digital Experience Platform. We focused on ensuring our customers were satisfied and well-equipped with their current investment, while identifying opportunities to expand their Adobe product portfolio when a clear business case existed.
Prior to Adobe, I worked as an Account Manager at ImpactLife, a non-profit community blood center that supplies blood products to more than 120 hospitals across the Midwest. During my time there, I organized 58 blood drives, working closely with registered student organizations and the university community to encourage them to host blood drives on Illinois State University’s campus. Thanks to the incredible generosity of students, faculty, and community members, we collected a total of 1,449 units of blood. These donations have made a significant difference, helping to save over 4,347 lives.
These roles have helped me build a strong foundation in outreach, discovery, and stakeholder engagement. I’m excited about the opportunity to bring these skills to the team at ADvendio while continuing to learn and grow in the adtech space.
5. What expectations do you have for this new role in ADvendio?
I am excited to be part of ADvendio’s growth and look forward to contributing to our expansion in the U.S. market. This industry is evolving quickly, and I feel fortunate to be joining a company that’s at the forefront of that momentum. What really excites me about this role is the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team all around the Globe. I’m eager to deepen my knowledge of media buying and omnichannel advertising, particularly as we uncover our customers’ challenges and explore how ADvendio can deliver impactful solutions.
6. Is there anything else you would like to add?
The majority of my time outside of work is spent with family and friends. I enjoy weightlifting and running, exploring new coffee spots and restaurants, and relaxing at the beach.
I love animals, especially my sister’s dog, Millie. I also enjoy traveling, and one of my personal goals is to visit every continent and see all seven wonders of the world.
I am currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and if you ever find yourself nearby, I would love to grab a cup of coffee!
