We caught up with John to learn more about his background, experience, and what he looks forward to in his new role.
1. Tell us about your background.
I grew up in Oregon and have always been competitive and performance-driven, which naturally pulled me into sales. I started my career in SaaS and spent the last several years at ZoomInfo on the Strategic Sales Development team. I focused on large insurance and financial services organizations, building pipeline across complex enterprise accounts and partnering closely with Account Executives to drive seven-figure opportunities. I’ve always been drawn to environments where strategy, data, and execution intersect, which is a big part of why ADvendio stood out to me.
2. What’s your job title and the regions you’re focused on?
I’m joining as an Account Executive, focused on expanding ADvendio’s footprint across North America. My goal is to identify high-potential media and retail organizations where we can modernize workflows, improve visibility, and help revenue teams operate more efficiently inside Salesforce.
3. What led you to a career in sales, and what do you enjoy most about working in sales?
I was drawn to sales because it blends psychology, business strategy, and performance. I enjoy understanding how organizations operate, where inefficiencies exist, and how technology can create a measurable impact. What I value most is the combination of competition and creativity. Every account is different, every buying group is different, and the challenge of navigating that complexity is energizing.
4. How has your previous experience prepared you for your role with ADvendio?
At ZoomInfo, I worked deeply within complex enterprise structures. I learned how to map organizations, engage multiple stakeholders, and build business cases tied to real revenue outcomes. I was consistently a top performer, influencing over $1M in ACV and driving a multi-million-dollar pipeline across strategic accounts. That experience sharpened my discovery skills, strengthened my executive communication, and reinforced the importance of positioning value around measurable business impact. Those fundamentals translate directly into selling an OMS like ADvendio, where clarity, precision, and ROI matter.
5. What expectations do you have for this new role in ADvendio?
I expect to build a strong book of business, become an expert in the AdTech ecosystem, and help clients unlock better operational control and revenue predictability. I’m excited to collaborate globally, learn quickly, and contribute to meaningful growth. My expectation of myself is simple: execute at a high level and create tangible value for the customers I work with.
6. Is there anything else you would like to add?
Outside of work, I’m competitive by nature. I enjoy distance running and setting measurable performance goals, which mirrors how I approach sales. I’m also constantly focused on improving my craft, whether that’s refining discovery, studying industry trends, or building better processes. I’m excited to be here and looking forward to building something impactful with the team.
