Customer Success Story: ADvendio & Burt help funda streamline operations
The Painpoints
Since 2001, funda has been the leading online property portal in the Netherlands, offering the most complete selection of property listings available.
In 2021 as their popularity and usage grew, so did the operations to maintain their excellent service.
“The main challenge we had a couple of years ago was the amount of manual work it cost to set up campaigns and the workflow around it,”
shared funda’s Ad Tech Manager, Niels Hooijschuur.
funda needed a solution that could streamline and enhance their processes.
ADvendio and Burt’s initial wins
Together ADvendio and Burt combined their unique strengths to not only remove the frustration and time-consuming work for funda but also replace it with a far superior integrated solution.
ADvendio provided automation and optimization around the invoicing process. funda noted:
“We have been able to set up a process that covers the moment our account managers send out their first email to a lead, until the moment our campaign managers send the customer the last report of the campaign. Invoicing is now done automatically on actual delivery data instead of manually updating the numbers. We are able to automatically invoice open market revenues.”
Burt implemented their fantastic reporting capabilities to save funda 65 hours on client reporting and deliver over 80 client dashboards monthly.
“Since implementing Burt, we’ve significantly improved our efficiency, enabling us to deliver comprehensive reporting for approximately 500 clients annually—something we struggled to achieve before.”
Increased benefits as the partnership integrates further
Once onboarded and the initial challenges were overcome, funda began to see the day-to-day benefits of a streamlined combined process. This enabled funda to build on their initial quick wins with continued saved time and effort.
As funda explained,
“The revenues coming from different open market partners are now all registered daily in ADvendio. This data is being gathered by Burt, normalized, and then exported to an S3 bucket where ADvendio can pick up the data. From this data ADvendio creates monthly campaigns that reflect the revenue we made per partner.”
The old labour-intensive ways of manually calculating, forecasting and invoicing are no longer!
What’s more, ADvendio and Burt were able to complement each other’s solutions to provide enriched automated branded campaign reports for all of funda’s clients.
Looking to the future
funda sees promising potential in its continued partnership with ADvendio and Burt.
For ADvendio, funda is exploring the possibilities of implementing the self-serve advertising solution.
“We know that ADvendio can provide a self-service solution, in which we can set up campaigns and capture the advertisers in Salesforce/ADvendio.”
funda is eager to tap into more of Burt’s robust reporting capabilities, unlocking deeper levels of granularity and actionable insights to refine their data-driven strategies.
“We are looking to add more detail to the reporting. Distinguishing between transaction types such as open auction and private action. As well as maybe splitting revenue on advertiser level.”
As ADvendio and Burt continuously aspire to help funda achieve their goals, they are well-placed to not only maintain their market-leading position but thrive in the ever-changing online space.
