Kevin Squyres has joined the ADvendio team as a Sales Director, focused on media companies and agencies across the US. We are delighted to welcome Kevin to the team. His extensive experience in sales and the ad tech industry will be a huge asset to ADvendio, and we look forward to utilizing his expertise to further ADvendio’s expansion.

We caught up with Kevin to learn more about his background, experience, and what he is looking forward to in his new role.

1. Tell us about your background.

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Trinity University with degrees in Marketing and Spanish. After working at Procter and Gamble in San Antonio for two years, I moved to New York, where I began my ad tech journey by managing outsourced trafficking teams for Operative. I spent eight years selling Operative’s suite of products before moving to EDO to sell syndicated TV ad measurement data to F100 brands and agencies.

I am very excited to have joined the ADvendio team and look forward to expanding our presence in the North American market.

2. Do you speak any additional languages?

I used to dream in Spanish, but after years of disuse, I’m not quite as fluent as I used to be. Con suerte, podré recuperar mi fluidez hablando con todos nuestros hispanohablantes aquí.

3. What’s your job title and the regions you’re focused on?

I am a Sales Director reporting to the Head of Sales, Samantha Giaver. I will focus on media companies and agencies across the US.

4. What led you to a career in sales, and what do you enjoy most about working in sales?

While I was initially interested in consumer behavior, I got into sales after initially diving into operations and consulting with the product team at Operative. Ever since, I have enjoyed engaging with clients to solve their challenges and improve business outcomes. Working in sales has offered me the invaluable experience of meeting people with unique backgrounds and skills, constantly leveraging critical thinking, and feeling great accomplishment when all parties can come together to create a lasting, successful partnership.

5. How has your previous experience prepared you for your role with ADvendio?

I have lived and breathed ad tech for 12 years now, primarily focusing on the OMS landscape. In that time, I have worked with various clients across North America, bringing unique solutions to a market plagued by inefficiency and aging technologies.

6. What expectations do you have for this new role in ADvendio?

I look forward to forming strong relationships across our organization, engaging with clients to make their lives just a bit more enjoyable every day, and furthering the great work the team has done to accelerate ADvendio’s growth toward becoming the market leader.

7. Is there anything else you would like to add?

In my free time, I love to cook food from around the world, play tennis, get out on the water, and spend time with family. I recently moved to Austin, Texas, the “Live Music Capital of the World,” so if you’re ever in town, let’s see a show!
