Start your web browser and go to login.salesforce.com. Here click on the “Forgot your password?” link. A new password will be sent to your email address.
I can not login. What should I do?
The reason could be:
- Your login information might be wrong – please check the email sent to you.
- Your salesforce account is not ready to use yet – if you requested us to set up a salesforce account with ADvendio already preinstalled, some time is needed to do so. This can take up to three business days.
If you did not find a solution to your issue among these, please contact us. We will come back to you as soon as possible to clarify the details and solve your issue.
What do I need to run ADvendio?
You don’t have to provide any hardware or install any software. ADvendio is a complete web-based SaaS. All you need is an internet connection.
I cannot sign up for an ADvendio trial, what should I do?
If you have already used the entered email address for an earlier ADvendio sign up or a salesforce.com account you need to use a different email address: eg. if bob.smith@yourcompanyname.com is already registered, use bob.smith@yourcompanyname.net.
How long does the implementation take and what does it cost?
As standard application ADvendio can be used instantly without any setup costs. You can either adapt ADvendio to your individual requirements on your own or take advantage of our support offers. The transfer of your existing data (inventory) can be arranged easily within few days for free (assuming your metrics are entered correctly).
What service is offered in addition to the application?
Many support tools like demos and explanations can be found directly on this website. You can also post your question in our forum where we’ll get back to you asap. If you purchase ADvendio you can also request a support contract for training and consultancy.
Do I need special training to use ADvendio?
As ADvendio is based on the force.com platform, working with ADvendio is intuitive and possible without any special training. For guidance you can either check out our support resources on ADvendio.com or ask us for an introduction via web conference. Advanced training is available when purchasing a support contract.
Which ADvendio Edition is the right one for my company?
ADvendio is available in four different versions depending on different business needs. The edition determines which features and functionality you can access; look and feel is for every version the same. Our feature and pricing lists help you to decide which edition is most reasonable for your requirements. If you are still unsure feel free to contact our sales team.
We are no online marketer but a small website publisher, who manages the ad sales on his own; can we use ADvendio as well?
Yes, our solution is suited for ad networks, sales houses, online marketers, (premium) publisher and website operators; basically for everyone who manages and sales online advertising.
We are dealing only recently with the idea of cloud computing, so we are completely new in this area. We like the idea of renting data space and that we don’t need any special hard- or software but are afraid of data loss…
As ADvendio is completely based on salesforce.com’s reliable and business proven cloud infrastructure you can rely on data safety. More than 2 million users trust the innovative, web-based system based on the force.com infrastructure.
We are already using salesforce.com. Is it possible to just “buy” one ADvendio feature, say ad server integration?
ADvendio is a sales and order management solution out of the box. That means you don’t have to enforce a huge individual project to get your salesforce.com system designed for every specific component and can profit from a standard solution. The ADvendio editions are complete packages especially adjusted for the online media branch. If you are interested in purchasing specific modules or components contact our sales team.
On what depends the price of the monthly user fee?
There are three price determining factors: 1) Number of users 2) Contract duration 3) payment method (quarterly, annualy). The amounts on our pricing list are the maximum costs. Depending on the three factors you get discounts for each ADvendio licence.
Is it possible to display agency contracts in the tool, like e.g. preassign discount levels for media campaigns?
Yes, that’s possible.
What is the reference number?
It’s the reference number of the agency.
We are not using Doubleclick DFP but another ad server; is the integration possible?
Yes, even the integration of multiple ad server and parallel operation is possible. So far we have implemented the integration of Doubleclick DFP/DART, ADITION, smart and AOL ADTECH. For more information check out our special offer.
Which reason is there if measure discrepancies occure between ADvendio and my ad server?
Small discrepancies are possible. The reason for differences between ADvendio and your ad server can be caused by different targeting settings. First compare the different values (Sites, Zones, FC, Targeting, AdSlots, etc.) in media database and campaign item with the values that are set by request in your ad server. If the values are the same and measure discrepancies happen again, contact us and we’ll figure out the problem via web meeting.
I can’t request a availability forecast, what should I do?
If you cannot request a forecast one possible reason is your firewall adjustment. Make sure to loosen your configurations for your ADvendio login.
How do I enter my inventory?
We offer the import of your inventory as a service. If you download this file, you can send it filled back to support@advendio.com and we do the import of your data for you free of charge (up to 10 rows). If you purchase ADvendio licences, we import your whole inventory free of charge. Once your inventory is uploaded, you’ll receive a confirmation. The upload takes two to three business days. You can also enter your inventory on your own by creating ad specs within ADvendio.
Can I create other users?
Go to setup, left row “manage users” and enter the information of the new user. In our video “Getting started with ADvendio” the process is shown in detail.
What languages are supported and where do I change it?

How long does the import of my inventory take?
The import of our inventory takes two to three business days, if you use our predefined file and send it back to us.
How do I manage my ADvendio licences once I have purchased them?
Take a look at our video “Manage your ADvendio licences”. If you have still questions, contact us directly.
Can we request availabilities by hitting a button or is a complex order necessary?
If you have created a media campaign, click the button “request availabilities”, so you don’t waste time by entering the same information again.
Can we create proposals / IOs directly as pdf or as word document?
As all our clients work with proposals in pdf format, we adjusted it to their needs, so the release as pdf is no problem. So far there have been no requests for a release as word doc, but technically it’s possible.
Is it possible to not only receive the sum, but the corresponding zones with their availabilities, like zone 1: 1000000 AIs; zone 2: 300000AIs ; etc?
Till now our customers have always had one zone for every product, so availability numbers for zones is not possible so far.
We understood that orders or campaigns are processed to the ad server after transferring manually. Till then the ad server would deliver the whole volume for the same timeline. So we have to define when the campaign is booked, right?
You are able to define a campaing status and the transfer/booking of your order. The time when you hit the relating button is free to choose. It’s a process definition which is dealt differently by our clients._
It is possible to configurate the VAT / tax?
Yes. Go to Setup –> Create/Manage –> Objects –> Media campaigns –> Tax (%) …. There you can add, edit or delete values.
What is the reference number and how is it different from the offer number?
The reference number is the reference number of the agency. The offer number is your reference number for the media campaign and proposal.
Is it possible to influence the offer number generation?
No. It’s generated automatically.
We want to combine ad specs and price variations as one campaign item. Is this functionality available?
Bundles and packages will be implemented in the future.
We offer ad products as bundle with different, also single bookable ad placements (pools). That means we need ad products without website assignment.
These channels or pools could be created as “fictitious” sites and could then be used as ad specs.
What is “campaign item – ad information” for?
All ad server relevant information from the ad server interface (e.g. ad ID or delivered AIs) is entered here or can be entered manually. The layout can be adjusted individually.
How can we generate our own fields in an additional ad server?
Create a new record type for ad type and generate all needed fields through the setup. With the help of a new page layout you are able to hide all not relevant fields and show all newly created fields.
Can I delete campaign “Stage” field picklist values and create new ones?
Yes, you can change the picklist values. But as there are certain probabilities connected to the values (e.g. the value “offer on request” goes with a probability of 20%), you would have to set up a new probability formula as well.
Which reports for campaigns, leads and contacts are deposited by default?
You can use the salesforce.com standard reports for accounts and contacts. For campaigns you can create your reports individually and visualize them as dashboard. All tables, fields and relations can be projected via salesforce.com’s reporting system. Leads are not part of ADvendio and thereby only reachable for the sysadmin profile.
Is it possible to create individual reports? If so, where and how can I create them?
Simply choose a new report and the corresponding object. Campaigns can be found under “other reports”.
Campaign reports of expired campaigns can be generated on account basis? As pdf or excel document?
Yes you can generate campaign reports related to accounts; just use a filter and enter the account. You can export the report as excel file.
How can we generate reports for websites?
Generate an individual report type with the objects “website”, “media campaign” and “campaign position”. Then you can create reports per website.
Which dashboards are deposited by default?
Have a look at “which reports for campaigns, leads and contacts are deposited by default”. As any dashboard can be generated from a report, it’s the same as for reports.
How is SAP integrated in ADvendio? Where are cancellations or price adjustments realized? In ADvendio, SAP or in both tools?
The billing array is large and very individual. We have implemented a SAP IS/M-AM integration with one huge publisher cross-medial. Another client exports the data to SAP SD/FI, the next one writes his invoice in salesforce.com. The transfer for the automated adoption of the data in the ERP system is already implemented as standard.
How can roadblocks be configurated: As product or as different items of one campaign?
As product. You have to define the corresponding values in the field “Master” (“Leading Flights” for ADTECH) and “CompanionSize” (“Product metrics” for ADTECH) for all ads you want to book as roadblock.
Mobile products like ads in an iPhone app are treated like a “usual” client and requested normally from the ad server?
Yes, you can deposit an extra ad medium with zones and ad format like a seperate site.
Can you allocate rights to view/create/edit reports and features to certain roles like sales, managment, etc?
The usual salesforce.com rights management is part of our infrastucture, so you can supply your employees via roles and profiles with rights for fields, tables, reports, views etc. in the setup. Rights are administrated via profiles (Setup –> Manage users –> Pofiles).
Who sets the price for the ad media? Is everyone allowed to change the prices?
Prices can only be set by the administrator. Price reductions are only possible through discounts. Except for the administrator none is authorised to change something (profile).
Is a combination of different ad formats on one site possible?
Yes.
How are wallpaper (other exclusive placements) dealt with?
Wallpaper as well as standard formats like Skyscraper can be booked without problems. If a site is booked or not, can be seen with the help of the ads schedule.
I added a new ad format under placement, but it’s not displayed in the media campaign if I enter the ad format as filter. What do I have to do?
The product search displays usually all available products. The three filter criteria limit the number of found products. As you haven’t added products to your created ad format, the product search doesn’t show it. If you add products to the ad format, it will be displayed in the media campaign.
